Add One Link To Your Facebook And Win £500

And Make Your Own Facebook Badge!

by SoftwareGuru

Software4Students have launched a new competition whereby you could win £500 every month.

To enter all you have to do is link from anywhere online to our website (www.software4students.co.uk) and then tell us. It's that simple. For full details on this please visit the new 'Promote S4S' page: click here.

On that page there is a variety of S4S banners and text links which you can use to enter the competition.

EASY GUIDE TO CREATING YOUR OWN FACEBOOK PROFILE BADGE

So you'd like to win £500 but you're not keen on any of our banners?

Now you can use Facebook to make your own Social Media Badge or Banner.

This way you can promote YOUR Facebook page and still enter the Software4Students competition!

If you've ever uploaded photos to Facebook then you'll know it's not a difficult thing to do. Likewise, creating your own profile badge with a S4S link is simple too.

Follow the 10 easy steps below and not only will you be promoting your own Facebook page, you'll also be in with a chance of winning the cash.

10 EASY STEPS TO FOLLOW

Step 1: Under your Facebook profile main picture, there's a section called 'Information'. Click on the tick box called 'Website' and fill in the website address: http://www.software4students.co.uk

You can list more than one website address if you wish, for example your twitter, blog URL or favourite other website.

Step 2: On your main Facebook profile page there is also a link called 'Create a Profile Badge'. You will find it in the left column under the photo album section. Click it now.

Step 3: You are now on the profile badge page. If there is a graphic under preview then click 'Edit This Badge'.
Otherwise click 'Create a new badge'.

Step 4: On the create or edit page, you have a list of layout options. Choose the layout you prefer. I picked 'Vertical' as it takes up the least space but you can choose whatever layout works best for you.

Step 5: Still on the edit page, you will see there is a list of tick boxes. You can use these to add content to your badge. For my own badge I picked 'Profile Pic', 'Name', 'Websites' and 'Status updates'. Feel free to play around with these options and decide which information you wish to make public.

Step 6: Finished adding content? Click SAVE.

Step 7: You should now be back on the main profile badge screen. Under the header 'Choose Where To Add' click "Other".

Note: if you use Blogger or TypePad there are buttons to click already for these which will generate the specific line of html code. The "Other" button is for everything else like MySpace etc.

Step 8: Copy The Line of HTML Code
(highlight the code > right-click > Copy).

Step 9: Paste your code into your website, blog or other social media profile.

Step 10: That's it! Your Facebook badge displays the text S4S website address but ALL clicks go directly to YOUR Facebook profile.

This is a great way to promote your own Facebook page and as long as the clickable S4S URL is listed on your main profile, you're still eligible for the competition!

Don't forget to send an email to win@software4students.co.uk with your name and the website address of where you've added the banner or link so we can find it.

Good luck to everyone.
