Whether you bought Dragon NaturallySpeaking 11 recently through Software4Students or whether you are about to do it, do not worry. Version 11.5 is a free upgrade for version 11 customers so you will be able to take full advantage of the new functionality. And to make things even easier for you, we are giving you information on how to access version 11.5 from your version 11 software.

Upgrading to Dragon NaturallySpeaking 11.5 (from version 11)

The service pack is available for download through the Nuance Update Service, an automatic update service included with Dragon NaturallySpeaking.

Remember to log into your computer as a Windows User account that has administrator level permissions before accessing the "Check for Updates" menu from within Dragon NaturallySpeaking 11.

Now, access the Nuance Update Service by:

1. Starting Dragon NaturallySpeaking 11.
2. Clicking on "Help > Check for Updates".
3. When the Update Service is open, select the "Dragon NaturallySpeaking 11.5" update.
4. Click the "Next" button and then use the "Download" button to save the Service Pack(s) to the computer.
5. Once downloaded, double-click the Service Pack to install. Please make sure that you close all open applications before installing the Service Pack(s), but the service pack download.

Keep in mind that the download will take around an hour to be completed and that the approximate size of the file is 530MB.

Also remember that if the "Install Now" button is selected instead of the "Download" button, a message may appear stating that all open applications should be closed before continuing the installation. All applications can be closed except for the "Update Service" window. The Service Pack(s) can be successfully installed with this window open by pressing the "Ignore" button, however all other applications including Dragon NaturallySpeaking 11 must be closed.
