Even Celebrity Chefs Forget To Uninstall Trial Software First
#1 Tip via S4S Customer Service
by
SoftwareGuru
At Software4Students we will bend over backwards to make sure
you have a positive buying experience.
So when looking back over the last 12 months, customer service
would like to highlight one of the most common issues people
have in relation to
cheap computer software deals.
People often don't uninstall the older or trial version
first.
Previous versions of software can often create installation
problems if they remain present.
It's an easy mistake to make.
While it may seem incredibly obvious to any experienced computer
user, everyone has their own talents.
It's easy to make an omelette but I don't know if I would pass
Gordon Ramsay's standards of 'doing the obvious things'
right.
As one of the tests that all chefs must take, something as
simple as making a tasty omelette can prove problematic if you
don't pay attention to detail.
The good news is that to enjoy the money saving software deals
from this online UK store, you won't have to break any eggs!

Run that by me again...
Software4Students' Facebook page regularly features comments
from customers explaining their own unique situation.
However, let's take a look at things from a broader perspective.
One thing many computer users forget to do when purchasing new
software is to uninstall older versions or trial versions of the
software before putting the up-to-date program on their PC.
Every software company will recommend that you remove earlier
versions before installing new versions.
When you buy software you had already been testing out,
you should always remove the older version of the program.
This will allow the new version to be installed without any
problems.
It is not uncommon for people to experience installation
problems when trying to install new software alongside or on top
of old versions.
The new version or full version will contain content that did
not exist in the trial, and users may have usage problems when
two versions of the same program are installed.
All of which leads us onto the issue of documents created using
trial software.

Here's One I Made Earlier
No one likes losing their stuff.
A lot of people are afraid that they might lose previously saved
work if they uninstall the software, but this will not happen as
long as you closely follow the on-screen instructions.
Programs will always prompt you to select which items to delete
and uninstall, but if you do have worries that you will lose
saved documents or files, be sure to back them up before
uninstalling old software and installing new software.
You should periodically backup important files on external
devices like USB keys, external hard drives, or CDs/DVDs.
Fun Geeky Fact Alert!
Uninstalling old or unused software also frees up space on your
computer's hard drive, and more free space will make the
computer run more smoothly.
Removing old software is a simple enough process, and many
programs will have a uninstall shortcut in the Windows Start
Menu.
If there is no shortcut, you can go to Control Panel in the
Start Menu, and then Add/Remove Programs. In Windows 7, it's
even easier, where there's an Uninstall Programs section in the
Control Panel.
So there you have it, the #1 tip from our customer service team.
Do you think we should consider getting it printed on the
package address labels..?
