Students: Promote Your Blog Or Favourite Website On S4S YouTube Page

We want to hear from S4S customers on YouTube

by SoftwareGuru

Video blogs on YouTube have always been popular.

The ability to post them on our social media profiles means that we don't even have to visit YouTube.com to watch daily content.

From footage of student protests against fees to a music review video blog, we are sharing ideas and opinions faster and reaching a bigger audience than ever before.

Regular readers will know that we love to hear your feedback via Twitter and Facebook.

Our YouTube profile receives daily hits but as yet we don't actively create content for it, instead highlighting software advice videos such as "Photoshop CS5 - Top 5 Favourite Features".

Recent videos added or liked from our YouTube page include Channel 4's Jon Show giving an excellent talk to Edinburgh University students.

There's also some interesting Office for Mac 2011 clips which show the passion of the people behind its development.

So what else can we do with the S4S YouTube profile?

The amount of Adobe Creative Suite software we sell, especially the Adobe Master Collection package, reveals the ambitions of the many talented creative students out there.

For students interested in a career in television or the media, having the best tools to create original video content can be hugely beneficial.

Anyone with a webcam and an opinion on something can quickly gain a following on YouTube.

As a football fan, I enjoy finding new video blogs online and We Are The Red Men have done a great job of lampooning figures from the premier league.

What's fascinating is how mobile phone technology is allowing us to make videos while we're out and about.

The fact that the current iPhone 4G has 720p HD video capability shows how quickly mobile phones are becoming as powerful as netbooks and home computers.

So if you have a mobile phone capable of recording video or a web cam with your computer, you may be interested in making your own brief video clip.

The idea is really simple.

If you're a Software4Students customer, create a quick video clip saying:

- who you are (use a username is you prefer)
- some S4S related feedback (eg. "I saved loads of money on Microsoft Office")
- tell us about your blog or website that you wish to promote

For example:

"Hi, my name is 'username' and I saved loads of money with Software4Students. I definitely would recommend them to others. Anyone interested in science should check out my friends' blog thetwentyfirstfloor.com"

The best clips can be featured on our YouTube page for everyone to see and check out.

It's entirely up to you.

We appreciate any feedback we receive from customers and if you create a short clip it will give you a chance for some shameless self-promotion!

As an academic software supplier, we do have a bias towards education and technology but we welcome submissions from all customers.

If you decide to make a clip, upload it to YouTube and then post a link in our Channel Comments section.

To date we have received hundreds of testimonials and positive feedback stories from customers on Twitter and Facebook.

Will any budding media students step up and be the first to make a video feedback clip?
