How do I get verified?
During the verification process you will need to enter your details:
Once you click the consent box and the Verify and Continue button, information entered into the web form will be used for verification purposes and you will be asked to upload supporting documentation.
SheerID will compare the information provided in the uploaded document(s) against the information entered in the verification form. To ensure a speedy and successful verification, please pay attention to how you enter your information on the form so that it will match what is seen on the document(s). For example, enter your first and last name on the form as it appears on your school document(s).
What kind of document(s) do I upload if asked?
You’ll need to upload school-issued documentation that shows your:
Date showing current enrollment
Please note: SheerID will be reviewing the date of enrollment, not the print date or view date. For example, your transcript may have been printed yesterday, but it shows that your most recent enrollment in classes was a previous term. Future terms are also not accepted so acceptance letters would not prove current enrollment.
I just uploaded a document. When will I hear back with results of my request?
Documents are reviewed in the order received. You will be contacted via email within 48 hours with additional details regarding your verification request. Please check your spam/junk folder if you do not see an email in your inbox. The email will let you know if you’ve been successfully verified or if additional information is needed to complete your verification.
What happens if I can’t prove I’m a student?
This is extremely rare. Academic institutions provide multiple forms of official documentation that SheerID can accept, but in the event you cannot provide them any acceptable proof of current enrollment, they will be unable to approve you for the offer.
My school isn’t on the list. What do I do?
If your school isn’t on the list then you are not eligible for the offer at this time. To make sure you’re not missing your school in the list, please type out the full name of your school during the verify details process.
If your school does not appear on the list provided, use the SheerID FAQ before you click the Verify and Continue button and submit a request through SheerID’s school request form. They will review the request and add schools to the program at the discretion of Parallels.
I have questions that aren’t covered here. Can SheerID help me?
You can contact SheerID through their Information Form. Someone from the SheerID Customer Service Team will respond as soon as they’re able.
